Semicolon Communications is proud to support The Colon Club with a portion of our proceeds and pro-bono work.
We had the opportunity to create all of the press releases for the 2011 Colondar – the Colon Club’s most recognized fundraising project. This yearly calendar features young colon cancer survivors as models while displaying their surgical scars and sharing their survival stories. We happen to be quite fond of the project, as Danielle was Miss October 2009.
Scope:
President Molly McMaster tapped Danielle this year for help with creating a press release for each of the 13 models, as well as a national release. We had a great time working on the project, meeting each of the new models, and sharing their stories of hope! We wrote the releases, trained the models on how to come up with a media list, and then supported them as they sent them out! We also took an occasional interview for reporters wanting to know more about the Colon Club! We’re so proud of the 2011 Colondar models and all of the awareness they’ve raised so far!
Results:
Well, we’re still working on it! But, here’s a list of the media outlets who’ve covered the models’ stories. We’re SO excited that our story gained the attention of the Chicago Tribune!!
